Avena Interactive intends to solve educational problems through technology. The aim is to build toys that will help kids (‘in school kids’ and ‘out of school kids’) to learn in their native language in Nigeria.

Students supporting Techfugees within the framework of the SEIP University Cooperation Program:

I am Zsuzsanna Kosztka from Hungary. I am 22 years old, currently studying Special Needs Education in Budapest, at ELTE University. I took part in a volunteering project in Tallinn 2 years ago, in which I lived and worked together with an international group of people for 9 months. It was an amazingly good experience for me, and it encouraged me to keep on working on multinational projects. Therefore, I have decided to join the incubation program. I am very excited and curious to work on Avena Interactive project and to see what we can complete together!

I am Danielle Olufemi from Nigeria. I am currently studying Social Entrepreneurship Masters at Tallinn University, Estonia. I have a Bachelors's in Startup Entrepreneurship. It's been a long 5years journey into becoming a seasoned entrepreneur and I must say it gets more interesting every day. The SEIP program has made it possible for entrepreneurs like me to get practical experience by creating or supporting ideas all over the world.
I am specifically interested in the project Avena Interactive; because it is a very promising idea that solves the problem of language extinction and also basic education by providing a solution that is inclusive and with specific targets to kids in underdeveloped and developing nations. I am positive and hope that together with my colleagues we will be able to bring tangible solutions to the Avena Interaction Enterprise.

I am Anna Kalácska, a first-year special needs education student at ELTE, Budapest. My fields are visual impairment and hearing impairment. I decided to join one of SEIP's programs where I help Avena Interactive, an educational program for children.
In my eyes, self-exploration and self-expression are essential. So here, in the arms of SEIP, and a team member at Avena Interactive, I chose to show social diversity by listening to needs, responding to them and other questions, posing new questions, searching for answers, and adding my values to our small community - and hopefully to a bigger one in the future.

That sounds great. In addition to the skills needed to be a good special education teacher, you're doing very new things. Congratulations!
We have been working on Avena iBox scripts, some design adjustments, and the website design. Now we decided to creat content for the website to be able to reach out for more people. We are hopeful to see it come true! :)
Tolu, wow... glad to see your team is now bigger!
