About the online Workshop
What motivated you to become a social entrepreneur? What is the driving force behind your business? What do you want to achieve and why?
As a social entrepreneur, it is important that you can communicate what inspires you and why you have set off down the road that you have. It is vital that you can articulate your own personal story and use this to connect with people at an emotional, human level. This workshop will explore the power of personal stories and how you can use these to communicate your journey as a social entrepreneur.
The workshop will be led by digital storyteller – Hayley Trowbridge – who will draw on her professional expertise in digital communications, as well as her own experiences as a social entrepreneur in the UK to guide you through different techniques, tools and approaches to using personal storytelling as a part of your business development and communication activities.
As part of this workshop, you will:
-
Explore different ways stories can be used by entrepreneurs to engage with customers, build relationships with clients and create a personal brand identity
-
Identify the core parts of your story and how you can structure these to communicate the values and vision behind your business
-
Be introduced to different tools that can help you to communicate your story and think about what contexts/platforms are suitable to personal storytelling as an entrepreneur
After the session, you can post examples of how you are sharing your personal entrepreneur journey with potential customers and clients on the Social Entrepreneurship Incubation Program forum and receive feedback from other social entrepreneurs involved in the program and the workshop facilitator.
